Alex had me on a plane from northeast Ohio within 48hrs of our first phone conversation. My dear friend Brenden from Ohio was a real life saver setting me up with this facility because he was able to sober up out here and start work in this field and made great contacts for recovery.

From the very first call, Alex made the entire admissions process so easy and welcoming. That first conversation meant more than they probably know.

Once I arrived, Mike, Claire Josh, John, Kristin, Kovic and Alana treated me with so much genuine care, patience, and understanding. They made me feel seen and supported every single day, never judged.

There are truly no words that can express how grateful I am for Pinnacle and every single person who works there and for my peers / family. When I came in, I was at one of the lowest points in my life. I was scared, uncertain, and didn’t know what my future would look like. What I found at Pinnacle wasn’t just treatment.. it was hope, compassion, and people who genuinely cared about me and my recovery.
Every staff member treated me and my peers with kindness, respect, and understanding. They never made me feel like just another “client”. They took the time to listen, encourage, and remind me / all of us that recovery was possible, even on the days I struggled to believe it myself. Groups were great and most of the time we made them fun along with learning about this process and given the tools to manage on the outside. One of the things that caught my attention the most was seeing how, whenever one of my peers needed to open up or was having a difficult day, someone was always there to provide one-on-one support. My man Mike turned this one kids life around with just one meeting between the two of them (Ego). That level of compassion is something you don’t find everywhere, and it speaks volumes about the people at Pinnacle.
I want to personally thank Mike, Hovic, Claire, Josh, John, Alana, Kristin, and Karo. You have no idea how much you’ve impacted my life. Your patience, encouragement, and belief in me helped me find strength when I had very little left. Even with the tremendous workload you’ve all been carrying recently, you never let it affect the care you gave. You showed up every single day with kindness, professionalism, and genuine hearts, and I’ll never forget that.
Because of Pinnacle, I’m leaving with so much more than sobriety. I’m leaving with the tools, coping skills, confidence, and hope to face the future one day at a time. Recovery isn’t easy, but thanks to all of you, I finally believe that it’s possible.

Medically Supervised Detoxification

For most of our incoming clients, medically supervised detox is the first step of fentanyl addiction treatment at Pinnacle Recovery. Fentanyl withdrawal symptoms do not last forever, but they can be very difficult to get through on your own, leading to a significant risk of relapse at this time. Common fentanyl withdrawal symptoms include but are not limited to lack of energy, insomnia, anxiety, muscle aches, drug cravings, irritability or agitation, yawning, sweating, feelings of depression, and a runny nose. The medically supervised fentanyl detox program at Pinnacle Recovery provides 24/7 supervision from staff, and medications may be prescribed to help you get through fentanyl withdrawal symptoms during the medical detox process. Most clients spend about one week in detox under medical supervision before transitioning into our residential inpatient rehab program.

Residential Inpatient Fentanyl Rehab

Although detox will help you through the initial stages of fentanyl withdrawal, residential inpatient treatment provides intensive therapy. In residential treatment at Pinnacle Recovery, you will explore the role fentanyl addiction or abuse has played in your life and learn essential coping skills and relapse prevention techniques to use in the long term. During the day, residential inpatient rehab clients at Pinnacle Recovery participate in a full schedule of groups, individual therapy sessions, and other activities. All clients at Pinnacle Recovery get a personalized addiction treatment plan to ensure that individual needs are not overlooked.

Our residential treatment facility offers semi-private rooms with TVs in each room. Other amenities that make Pinnacle Recovery unique include but are not limited to chef-prepared meals with accommodations for food preferences and needs (e.g., veganism, vegetarianism, or food allergies), a fitness center with workout equipment (including peloton access), a game room, and a pool.

Aftercare Planning

The aftercare planning process should be just as individualized as inpatient rehab, and it’s an essential part of any fentanyl addiction treatment program. Before your stay at Pinnacle Recovery comes to an end, you’ll make an aftercare plan with the help of your treatment team. Your personal aftercare plan may include:

Continued care in the form of an outpatient fentanyl addiction treatment program (e.g., a partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient program near your home address).
Ongoing medication management or therapy services. This may include medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for addiction, if appropriate.

Fentanyl addiction falls under the category of opioid use disorder (OUD). Signs and symptoms that may be used to identify fentanyl addiction can include but aren’t limited to the following:

Continuing to use fentanyl to avoid withdrawal symptoms or experiencing withdrawal symptoms upon discontinuation of the drug.
Using more fentanyl than the amount that was prescribed to you or using it for a longer period of time than it was prescribed for.
Increased tolerance (needing to use more fentanyl than you used to for the same effects or "high" to occur).
Continuing to use fentanyl, even if it causes new or worsened mental health or physical health symptoms.
Spending less time on previously enjoyed hobbies or social activities due to fentanyl use.
Using fentanyl in potentially dangerous or risky situations (e.g., before driving a car).
Spending a substantial amount of time using, under the effects of, or obtaining fentanyl.
Forging prescriptions for, doctor shopping, or otherwise illegally obtaining fentanyl.

Effects of Fentanyl on the Body and Mind

Using fentanyl can lead to side effects such as slowed breathing, confusion, drowsiness, constricted pupils, urinary retention sedation, euphoria, mood swings, constipation, and loss of consciousness. Complications such as brain damage, severe gastrointestinal issues (e.g., bowel obstruction), and heart problems can occur in those using fentanyl, in addition to the risk of overdose and death.
